OUR APPROACH
HOW A MATTER RUNS
Not every dispute should end in court. Below is the path a matter usually takes with us: each stage is a chance to resolve it, and court proceedings are only issued if the earlier stages do not.
01
Strategic advice
Careful analysis and a clear strategy tailored to the legal, practical and commercial dimensions of your matter.
02
Principal-led representation
Every matter is handled directly by the principal, from the initial advice through to resolution.
03
Direct and responsive service
Clear communication, realistic advice and timely attention throughout the course of your matter.
The five stages
Step One
First conference
We take a full account of the facts, identify anything urgent and tell you what documents are needed.
Step Two
Advice and strategy
Realistic advice on your position, the likely risks and costs, and a strategy directed to your objectives.
Step Three
Negotiation
Correspondence and settlement discussions designed to resolve the dispute before costs escalate.
Step Four
Proceedings
Where necessary, careful preparation of pleadings, evidence and expert material, and firm advocacy.
Step Five
Resolution
Orders or settlement properly formalised, with advice on enforcement or appeal rights where relevant.
